Now that Truett has started eating rice cereal, we're moving into "big people food" mode around the Swain house. The bowls and colored spoons are coming out along w/ EVERY bib we own. We go through at least three a day. And we've since changed from rice cereal to whole grains, which he likes much better. We've also started to sign the basic words- more, eat, milk, finished. I've watched our friend's son sign to his parents and it really helps with their communication and understanding his needs.
Jayson was smart enough to plant veggies that we can puree and freeze for when he's ready to move up on the food latter. Below is our journey to the overwhelming amount of butter squash!

| Ready for cereal! |
| All geared up |
| Umm..nevermind. I'll stick with milk. |
| Please stop this torture. |
| 4 of 10 squash. Who knew it was so hard to cut into. |
| It has been a really bad day. The squash received my wrath. |
| Mom, what is this stuff you're feeding me? |
| My new name: Sarah "multi-taker" Swain. Feeding T-bug, pureeing food, and cooking some very good BBQ chicken quesadillas. |
After all that cooking and gutting, my blender didn't even puree! Our bowl of squash is still awaiting it's fate.
you can bake the squash first and it will cut MUCH easier! T is such a ham...love his facial expressions!
